Mersey Weaver District Youth Forum (Feb 2019)

Who should attend? The Forum is open to all youth members from Scout Troops and Explorer Scout Units in the District. We would like each: Scout Troop to select and send 2 representatives; and Explorer Unit to select and send 3 representatives. District Cheshire Hike Practice 3

This will be the first of two, ‘two day hikes’ open to all Scouts & Explorers in the District participating in the Cheshire Hike. Its a great opportunity to practice for Cheshire Hike and Participation can contribute to a number of badges. Teams are expected to carry their full kit including Tents and Sleeping bags so participants can get used to walking a fair distance, weight while practice navigating. Make a SPLASH in this year’s Cub Swimming Gala! Leaders please enter your teams here for the 2019 Cub Swimming Gala. Details about races will be sent to all Cub Leaders. District Open Shoot – 2019/02

The Target Sports ASU are running an “Open Shoot” session which any Scout, Explorer or Young Leader can participate in. The idea behind the sessions are to give young people in the district the opportunity to have a taster of the activity. If interested they can attend the shoot regularly and train for the upcoming District and County Shooting competitions. Participation will count towards the Master at Arms badge. MW Shooting Squad Session 2019/02

Only open to Mersey Weaver Scouts and Explorers who are invited by the District Shooting to be members of the Mersey Weaver Shooting Squad. Mersey Weaver Shooting Squad training session. Training will involve shooting air rifle at 6yds, and  later air rifle at 10m air and pistol at 6yds. The session will also involve shooting a number of targets as part of intra-squad members ladder. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes/trainers (no footwear which provides ankle support)
